    Marvelous! She does say that with education she was able to address the male elders council on Mt Kilimanjaro. She also has had an insight for the "preservation of the tradition" which has been the hallmark of the MassaÏ ethnic group.

    Female genital mutilation, under either of its forms whether infibulation or excision, remain a scourge on many African traditions. It has been performed in conjunction with male circumcision.

    Both carry cultural and moral weights. It is my opinion that they are equally superficial and superfluous as well as unnecessary.
