A king like Dretarastra with a son like Arjuna?

Saudi king's son Mohammed bin Salman is new crown prince

Excerpts:

Saudi Arabia's king has appointed his son Mohammed bin Salman as crown prince - replacing his nephew, Mohammed bin Nayef, as first in line to the throne.

King Salman's decree also means Prince Mohammed bin Salman, 31, will become deputy prime minister while continuing as defense minister.

Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, 57, has been removed from his role as head of domestic security, state media say.

He has pledged allegiance to the new crown prince, his younger cousin.

Below: Mohammed bin Nayef (R) pledged allegiance to Mohammed bin Salman (L), who knelt and kissed his older cousin's hand

Excerpt:

The prince recently took a number of bold and unprecedented steps at home, consolidating power by arresting 11 princes — part of a public anti-corruption crackdown that sent shockwaves across the Arab world. The young Saudi heir has also pledged to destroy extremism and return the kingdom to "moderate Islam."

sounds like the same same old story again about one ruler killing off or silencing in some way potential upstarts who are related or not related

so long as they have oil reserves which the West thinks it needs, the Saudis will be supported with Western weapons but the day their oil reserves lose value as happened in Venezuela, they will find themselves in a messy situation
